Legal ownership

The Home onChain LLCs

Each Home onChain is owned by an LLC created for it. All these companies share the same articles of organization:

  • The owner of the corresponding token is the full owner of the company.

  • Roofstock onChain is set up as an administrator to ensure compliance.

  • Established in the state of Wyoming, the most advanced in terms of crypto regulation (this is independent of the home location).

You can review the articles of organization of each property in the Documents section.

Buying as an LLC

Buying a house as an LLC is a popular practice among real estate investors. As each Home onChain is sold as an LLC, it provides buyers with similar advantages out of the box:

  • Limited liability

  • Increased privacy

  • Tax benefits*
